UK Chow Chow Welfare is a Kennel Club registered breed rescue operated by the North Eastern Chow Chow Club.
Our Aim
Our aim is to safeguard and support Chow Chows in need throughout the UK by offering advice, welfare support and responsible rehoming assistance.
We are committed to ensuring that every Chow Chow entering our care or support network is placed in a safe, suitable and permanent home, with careful consideration given to the needs and welfare of both dog and owner.
How We Operate
UK Chow Chow Welfare is not a kennel-based rescue centre. Wherever possible, we prefer for dogs to remain with their current owner until a suitable, vetted and appropriate home has been found. This helps to minimise stress and disruption for the dog.
Where necessary and appropriate, we may utilise experienced foster homes.
All prospective homes are assessed carefully and home checks may be carried out prior to adoption.
Adoption
Anyone wishing to adopt through UK Chow Chow Welfare is welcome to contact us for further information and an application form.
Please note:
- All homes are subject to approval.
- We reserve the right to refuse any application where we do not feel the placement is suitable.
- Dogs presented for rehoming must be legally owned by the person surrendering the dog.
- Full disclosure of any known behavioural, medical or temperament concerns must be provided at the point of surrender to allow safe and appropriate placement decisions.
Volunteers
We are always grateful for support from experienced and reliable volunteers.
